Dekkle unites 19th-century heavy-press mechanics with forward-looking artistic vision. We are not a crowded open-access print room; we are an intimate residential workshop strictly capped at five Associate Artists. Think of it as a natural extension of your own studio. Members receive private key-code access to wander through the garden gate and work on their own rhythm, with the simple courtesy of checking the studio diary or giving us a quick call to ensure the beds are free. It is an unhurried, unprecedented environment to find in a private setting. Whatever stage your practice is at, what matters is your curiosity and ambition: here, you have the presses, the workshop chemistry, and the creative freedom to follow your own artistic journey, experiment boldly, and challenge what a print can be.
Studio Induction & Trial Day
Spend a full working day testing our presses and workshop before committing to an annual placement. Includes 1-to-1 master printer guidance, full equipment induction, and dedicated press time to pull your own proofs.
£250 / Day (100% credited toward your membership)
- 1-to-1 Guidance: Hands-on support with press setup, pressures, and inking.
- Full Access: Use of rolling presses, inking bays, chemistry, and drying racks.
- Fee Deducted: The full £250 is subtracted from your £2,200 annual fee.
Associate Artist Membership
An unhurried annual placement for dedicated printmakers seeking independent workshop access and exclusive studio privileges. Strictly capped to five practitioners.
£2,200 / Year (5 monthly payments of £450 available)
- Studio Access: Flexible, unhurried booking of workshop presses and inking bays.
- Keyholder Privileges: Direct, independent entry to the studio.
- Workshop Facilities: Full use of drying racks, litho stones, acid sinks, and printmaking sundries.
