We are an independent Fine Art
Atelier Printmaker, Publisher and Educator.
About us
We specialise in Intaglio, Relief, Stone Litho and Digital to Analogue printing based in the town of Baldock. We offer a unique creative space for all artists: from the professional to the beginner.
Our mission is to create an unforgettable experience while supporting you in your artistic journey. We pride ourselves on the ‘Symbolic Interactionism’ of the Atelier system, which will allow you to explore, process ideas and techniques which you thought were impossible.
‘Digital to Analogue’ is a term that we use to explain how artists can combine the traditional with modern methods. Artists can fully explore 19th and 20th century printmaking bringing a new and vibrant quality to digital artwork.

Our History
Dekkle was founded by Artists David and Louisa Borrington in 2008, as an independent Fine Art Atelier Printmaker, Publisher and Educator.
With David graduating in 2008 from the Royal College of Art, London where he received his MA in Fine Art Printmaking under Professor Chris Orr RA and his lead technician Alan Smith.
David is a practicing printmaker with over 10 years of professional and diverse workshop experience. He is proficient in all facets of print processes and welcomes artists on all levels and capabilities to his workshop.
David approaches all matters creatively, with genuine individualised attention.
Louisa, co-founder of Dekkle comes with a completely different approach to printing. Louisa is excited by leftovers and anachronistic imagery, and uses the presses to create collage materials and printed ephemera to combine in her collages. Louisa is also a Teacher and Head of Art and Design.
